Day 1

Arrive at Kota Kinabalu (Dinner)
Upon arrival at Kota Kinabalu International Airport, meet and greet and transfer to hotel, check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2

Kota Kinabalu – Kota Kinabalu Park
0800hrs pick up from a city Hotel for a 2 ¼ hours journey to the Kinabalu National Park. The Park covers an area of 754 sq km and is 1623 metres above sea level. Within its boundaries, you will find lowland rain forest at its lower level, montane vegetation at its medium level and conifers and other alpine flora at the summit. After the guided nature trail, you will have lunch.
After a video presentation of the Park, take a leisure guided mountain garden walk. In the late afternoon, you can either relax and enjoy the tropical scenery or explore the many nature trails before settling in for dinner.

Overnight at local lodge OR Park accommodation.

Day 3

Summit of Mount Kinabalu
After breakfast, register with the Park Officer for your climb on Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in South East Asia. We start the climb towards the Power Station at 1829 meters and from there begin your trek on the summit trail. Along the way, boxed lunch will be served; do look out for wild orchids, ferns, pitcher plants and rhododendrons. Arrive Laban Rata at 3353 meters approximately at 1500 hrs. The accommodation is basic (bunk beds dormitory style) and simple with electricity and hot water.

Day 4

Summit – Kota Kinabalu
In the early morning, commence your ascent for the final trek to the summit. When you reached the 4095.20 meters milestone, give yourself a pat on the back. Congratulations, you are now on top of the roof of South East Asia. Rest and enjoy the beautiful sunrise.
We descend to Laban Rata for breakfast. After breakfast, continue to descend to the Power Station arriving at approximately 1200hrs. A van will transfer you to the Park’s Headquarters. Continue overland to Kota Kinabalu and we expect to arrive approximately 1600-1700 hrs.

Day 5

Sapi Manukan Island Tour
At 830hrs, Breakfast in the hotel. 0830hrs pick up from hotel and transfer to jetty for Sapi island tour. A boat-ride less than half an hour takes you to Sapi Island just off Kota Kinabalu City. Sapi Island is ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The fine white sandy beach is perfect for catching some rays. Really bliss out on any one of the beaches, the blue sea and coral reefs with colorful marine life. Enjoy BUFFET BBQ lunch at the island. Free at Leisure. Back to Kota Kinabalu mainland based on boat schedule arranged by our guide / island coordinator. 1500: Transfer back to mainland.
Remark: Activities – Seaport available at own account such as Parasailing, Jet ski, Kayak, Snorkel & Fin Set can be hired OR boat charter to do island hopping around Tunku Abdul Rahman Park)

Day 6

Departure
Breakfast at hotel.
Check out and transfer to Kota Kinabalu Airport for your flight to onwards destination.

Note: Physical fitness is required
The pick-up time from outskirt hotels, eg Nexus & Rasa Ria will be at 0900 to 0930hrs. For hotels located south of city, e.g. Beringgis Resort, the pick-up time will be at 0730 hrs. Pick up supplement will be imposed accordingly.

What to Bring (recommended): Raincoat, warm clothing, wind breaker, drinking water, hat, gloves, extra thick socks, good torch, toiletries, towel and other items of personal use. Use good trekking shoes. It is advisable to bring a sleeping bag because the heating systems in some rooms in Laban Rata are not very reliable.

Prices mentioned is starting from, per person based on 2 persons travelling together and sharing twin/double room, subject to seasonal surcharges and availability.
ITL World reserve the right to amend the prices in case of currency fluctuations, changes in rates of exchange, and/or fuel costs, special or high season charges and hike in the airline/hotel/rail/land transportation charges before the date of departure.
For convenience of passengers and / or feasibility of operations, ITL World or their service providers may sometimes amend the itinerary.
International hotel check in time is between 2pm and 3pm and check out time is between 11am and 12pm. (Exceptions apply). Early check in and or late check-out is subject to availability of rooms and may be chargeable.
It is the responsibility of the passengers to ensure they hold valid passport, visa, travel and medical insurance, vaccination etc., as applicable for each destination.
City/tourist tax as applicable, must be paid directly at the hotel.
To assist with visa application process, ITL World would provide copies of air tickets, travel insurance and other ground service vouchers for bookings made and fully paid for. Approval and issuance of visa is at the discretion of respective Embassies or Consulates and ITL World cannot in anyway influence this process. Certain nationals however receive visa on arrival in select countries, subject to prior online approvals.
