  • Day 1

    Arrival to Athens Airport and private transfer to your hotel in the city center of the city. Check in at the hotel and free time for the rest day

    Breakfast at the hotel & free time at your leisure.
    At noon, you can start your walking tour with our escort who will show you the city center of Athens & the old city guiding you to one of the most famous Greek traditional restaurant (Tavern) for lunch. Greek cuisine has four secrets: good quality fresh ingredients, correct use of flavorings (herbs) and spices, the famous Greek olive oil and simplicity. You will taste the most famous traditional dishes including salad, cold/hot appetizers, main dish & Dessert. After the lunch, our escort will guide you to discover the old city of Athens to have the opportunity for shopping at the old city for the Greek products & souvenirs. After time for rest, in the evening your escort will meet you at the Hotel’s lobby and take you to another local Tavern for dinner to try more dishes of the Greek Cuisine. You will be happy and content after tasting a Greek tomato, cabbage, carrot, onion, parsley and garlic. At the same time, you should not forget the rich flavor and aroma of fresh Greek fruits, such as grapes, apricots, peaches, cherries, melons, watermelons, and of course we should not forget the world-famous honey, used by the Greeks in so many desserts.

    Our skillful cook will show you the way to be your own Greek chef! A 3 hours program of amazing flavors and recipes, just a few minutes’ walk from the Acropolis.

    The traditional Roumeli cheese pie / tiropita is a staple of the local diet for centuries.
    The recipe’s ingredients:

    All you’ll need is:
    • Potatoes, of course
    • Onions and peppers
    • Greek yogurt

    Walnut pie – a sweet “finale”
    Check your ingredients list; sugar, flour, eggs, walnuts, cinnamon, cognac

    • Preparing the cheese pie – 10 minutes
    • Potato salad – 30 minutes
    • The gemista basics – 30 minutes
    • The recipe of sweet walnut pie – 30 minutes
    • Bake everything – 20 minutes

    After breakfast, our deriver will pick you up from the hotel & transfer to the Airport for your departure flight.

    *Prices mentioned is starting from, per person based on 2 persons travelling together and sharing twin/double room, subject to seasonal surcharges and availability.

    ITL World reserve the right to amend the prices in case of currency fluctuations, changes in rates of exchange, and/or fuel costs, special or high season charges and hike in the airline/hotel/rail/land transportation charges before the date of departure.

    For convenience of passengers and / or feasibility of operations, ITL World or their service providers may sometimes amend the itinerary.

    International hotel check in time is between 2pm and 3pm and check out time is between 11am and 12pm. (Exceptions apply). Early check in and or late check-out is subject to availability of rooms and may be chargeable.

    It is the responsibility of the passengers to ensure they hold valid passport, visa, travel and medical insurance, vaccination etc., as applicable for each destination.

    City/tourist tax as applicable, must be paid directly at the hotel.

    To assist with visa application process, ITL World would provide copies of air tickets, travel insurance and other ground service vouchers for bookings made and fully paid for. Approval and issuance of visa is at the discretion of respective Embassies or Consulates and ITL World cannot in anyway influence this process.
